I raised my Flag today….

image

Thirty days ago six teachers sacrificed their lives in defense of children who were unable to defend.themselves against a mad man.  Twenty of those innocent souls were taken.  The President called for all Federal offices to lower their flag to half mast in honour of their memory – for a period of five days.  As a veteran I did not feel five days to be sufficient.  Instead I lowered my flag and left it there for one day for each of the 26 who lost their lives that day.

One day after that was for the Survivors.

One day was for our Country.

The last two days were for Hawaiian Senator and Veteran Daniel Inouye and for General Norman Swartzkopf.

I raised my Flag today.
